Assistance Services

We want to show and share the love of Christ with everyone we meet.  We firmly believe that all people are made in the image of God and are valuable to Him and to us.  Therefore, all are welcome to apply for resources and we will help if possible.  And while our earthly needs are important, we firmly believe our eternal need is the greatest of all.  We would love to share with you the hope we have found in Jesus Christ and/or pray for you.  

Through the generous provision of food from area churches, businesses, and civic groups House Upon A Rock is able to provide weekly family style meals free of charge for the community.  We have an encouraging devotional and time of worship before each meal.  Doors open at 4:15pm for coffee and fellowship with the devotionals and meals starting at 5:00pm on Tuesdays at our Broken Bow location and Thursdays at our Idabel location.

House Upon A Rock may provide limited financial assistance to help with things like utilities, medications, etc. for emergency hardships that could not have been foreseen.  There is an intake process to receive this assistance.  Please see  "How to Apply For Help" for more information.

Transportation may be provided for going to a rehab, homeless shelter, and some local medical appointments or job interviews.  There is an intake process to receive this assistance.  Please see  "How to Apply For Help" for more information.

House Upon A Rock is not a shelter nor do we have housing available.  However,  we work with various homeless shelters to try to help those who desire to go.  There is an intake process to receive this assistance.  Please see  "How to Apply For Help" for more information.

While House Upon A Rock does not have a large pantry to help supplement groceries, we do provide individual portion food items, toiletries, coats and blankets for those who are homeless.  We also provide resource information for area ministries that are Food Pantries.
